The Snow Is Gone But...

The Snow is gone from Northern Wisconsin, way to early, 78 degrees yet at this time of night. But what a wonderful change for an early spring Pow Wow. The regalia the dancers wear seems even brighter and the steps livelier - the drum echoes the beat of my heart and the world grow suddenly more peaceful and enjoyable.

I had an occassion where I learned to make a ribbon shirt. The ribbon shirt is to be worn on special occassions, the colors reflect the wearers birth order and other things. The ribbons remind me of the pathways taken and those missed. My ribbon shirt was light lavendar with yellow and orange accents, the ribbons yellow and orange and beautiful.

What you learn can never be taken from you and memories are like that...they last forever and grow fonder with the remembering.
